April 13, 2022 - Midwest League (MWL)
West Michigan Whitecaps News Release
COMSTOCK PARK, MI - The West Michigan Whitecaps ballgame scheduled for Wednesday afternoon against the Lansing Lugnuts has been postponed due to inclement weather at LMCU Ballpark.
A thunderstorm just before the first pitch made conditions unplayable for the originally scheduled ballgame, leading to the contest being called. Wednesday's postponement becomes the first gameday of the 2022 season to see a rainout for West Michigan.
Wednesday's game will be made up in a Thursday doubleheader beginning at 5:35 pm. Both games will last seven innings in duration, with a 30-minute break in-between contests. Thursday is scheduled to be the first doubleheader for West Michigan this season. Last year, the 'Caps posted a 10-7 record in doubleheaders.
