Capitals Re-Assign Left Wing Nicolas Deschamps to Hershey

ARLINGTON, Va. - The Washington Capitals have re-assigned left wing Nicolas Deschamps (NIK-uh-luhs duh-SHAWMP) to the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League (AHL), vice president and general manager George McPhee announced today.

Deschamps, 24, played in three games with the Capitals this season after being recalled from Hershey on Feb. 26. The 6'1'', 202-pound left wing has played in 47 games with the Bears this season, registering 29 points (13 goals, 16 assists) and 18 penalty minutes. The LaSalle, Que., native ranks fourth among Bears skaters in points and goals this season and is tied for fifth on the team in assists. Deschamps has tallied 136 points (50 goals, 86 assists) and 96 penalty minutes in 266 career AHL games with Iowa, Syracuse, Toronto and Hershey.
