Canadiens reassign Urquhart

The Montreal Canadiens have reassigned forward Cory Urquhart from the Long Beach Ice Dogs (ECHL) to the Hamilton Bulldogs (AHL).

Urquhart, 21, has played 22 games for the Ice Dogs this season, recording 12 points (five goals, seven assists) and 10 penalty minutes. The native of Halifax, Nova Scotia skated in one game for the Bulldogs during the 2004-05 season, going scoreless. In 63 games with Long Beach last season, he posted 31 points (15 goals, 16 assists) and 14 penalty minutes.

The Bulldogs take on the Houston Aeros tonight, Saturday, December 10 at Copps Coliseum. The 'Dogs are holding 'Stuffed Animal Night' on Saturday and fans are encouraged to bring a new stuffed toy and toss it on the ice after the Bulldogs first goal! All toys that are collected will be distributed to local non-profit agencies in time for the holiday season. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
