Mink and Laich return for Saturday's game with Bridgeport

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Washington Capitals have assigned forwards Brooks Laich and Graham Mink to the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League (AHL), vice president and general manager George McPhee announced.

The Bears, who won 6-4 Friday night at Binghamton, host Bridgeport in games Saturday and Sunday at the Giant Center.

Laich, 22, has posted two goals and two assists (14 points) while appearing in each of the last 19 games for the Capitals. He has 10 points in eight games with the Bears this season, and was tied for fifth in the AHL with six goals when he was recalled to Washington Oct. 25.

Mink, 26, has played each of the last three games for the Capitals. In 23 games with Hershey he has a team-leading 15 goals and seven assists (22 points). He scored a goal and a shootout goal last Sunday against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
