Cameron Loaned To Grand Rapids, Ayers Re-Joins Bombers

Trenton, NJ - The Dayton Bombers announced on Friday forward Scott Cameron has been loaned to the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League, while goaltender Mike Ayers has been assigned from the Syracuse Crunch (AHL) for the weekend. Goaltender Sean Broderick was also placed on waivers.

Cameron, 24, leads the Bombers with 9 goals, 20 assists and 29 points in 23 games. The Valley East, Ontario native last played in the AHL when he recorded 7 points in 13 games with the Syracuse Crunch during the 2003-2004 season. He has compiled 17 goals, 28 assists and 45 points in 152 career games in the AHL with Syracuse and Albany. The Grand Rapids Griffins opened a 5-game road trip with a 5-0 loss in Toronto Wednesday night. The trip continues in Rochester tonight, Toronto on Saturday and Syracuse on Sunday.

Cameron is the tenth Bombers player this season to be promoted to the American Hockey League.

Ayers recorded a record of 4-2-0 with a goals against average of 2.51 and a save percentage of .917 in 8 games with Syracuse this season. He also has a record of 3-3-0 and a GAA of 3.49 in 6 games with Dayton this season. The Hingham, Massachusetts native signed an AHL contract with Syracuse on November 18, 2005. He is expected to join the Bombers in Trenton this weekend.
