March 1, 2006 - American Hockey League (AHL)
San Antonio Rampage News Release

San Antonio Rampage defenseman Joe Callahan will read to the entire student body of Castle Hills Elementary School as they participate in Read Across America Day. Callahan, a native of Boston, will promote literacy by reading Dr. Suess's "Green eggs and Ham" to all 525 students.

A program of the National Education Association (NEA) now in its eighth year, Read Across America Day-celebrated annually on Dr. Seuss's birthday, March 2-was originally created as a one-day event to celebrate the joy of reading.

Callahan, who attended Yale University before turning pro, was the Phoenix Coyotes' 4th choice (3rd round, 70th overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. The Rampage are the primary affiliate of the Coyotes in the AHL.
