Calgary Hitmen News Release
Moose Jaw, SK - Michael Stone scored twice, including the overtime winner, as the Calgary Hitmen beat the Warriors 2-1 in Moose Jaw Wednesday night.
After a scoreless first period, Stone gave Calgary a 1-0 lead on a second period powerplay goal.
It stayed that way until former Hitmen Brendan Rowinski tipped home the tying goal for Moose Jaw with 41.9 seconds left in regulation.
That led to Stone's overtime heroics as he scored 12th goal of the season.
Martin Jones made 25 saves in the Hitmen net while Brandon Kozun finished the game with two assists.
Calgary, now 19-6 on the season, wraps up their two game prairie road swing Friday night in Brandon against the Wheat Kings.
