Blades Continue Ascent Of CHL Rankings

The Saskatoon Blades have moved up to the #3 spot in the latest BMO CHL MasterCard Top 10 Rankings that came out on Wednesday afternoon.

Last week, the Blades played two games, winning both. On Friday, it was a 4-3 road victory over the Brandon Wheat Kings. The next night at home, the Bridge City Bunch came away with a 3-2 win over the Prince George Cougars.

The weekly rankings of the Canadian Hockey League's Top 10 teams are selected by a panel of National Hockey League scouts. So far this season the Blades have appeared six times on the list. This week's rank is the highest of the season.

The Blades are next in action this coming Friday with a visit to the Moose Jaw Warriors. Game time is 7:00 pm. The game can be heard live on 92.9 The Bull with Les Lazaruk. The game is also available for purchase on WHL WebTV.

The next action at Credit Union Centre for the Blades is Friday, November 27th when the Lethbridge Hurricanes are in town. Game time is 7:05 pm. Tickets are available online at ticketmaster.ca, by calling 938-7800, or by visiting any Ticketmaster outlet.

The Blades are pleased to announce that the fifth annual GlobalTV Toque Toss Night & $5 Ticket Night will occur on Wednesday, December 16th against the Kelowna Rockets. Fans are encouraged to bring toque, scarves, and mittens to throw on the ice following the Blades' first goal. The collected clothing will be donated to a host of local charities. Game tickets for that night only will be $5. The special ticket rate is available at the Credit Union Centre box office beginning Thursday, November 19th at noon.
