The Calgary Hitmen host the Edmonton Oil Kings this afternoon in a 2:00 p.m. start at Scotiabank Saddledome. It's Tim Hortons Minor Hockey Day and the Shrine Challenge. Sunday Funday for Ricky's All Day Grill is also in effect featuring face painters, concourse activities, giveaways and a post-game family skate that is FREE with a game ticket. Sunday Funday pricing sees a $9.99 ticket for kids 12 and under and a $15.99 ticket for adults (plus applicable fees and taxes). Today marks the debut of Farley's Family Feast. NOTEWORTHY VS. EDMONTON: Today is the third of eight regular season meetings between the two clubs. They split their first two meetings but the home team is 2-0. Carson Focht tops the Hitmen in the season series with six points (3g, 3a). Egor Zamula (1g, 3a) is next with four. Carter Souch (3g, 1a) and Jake Neighbours (1g, 3a) are the top performers for Edmonton with four points each. The Central Division rivals face each other again next Saturday on Nov. 9 in the provincial capital.

LAST GAME RECAP: Calgary is coming off last night's 3-2 home ice loss to Saskatoon. Eric Florchuk scored the game winner, snapping a 2-2 third period tie with 6:19 remaining. Florchuk finished with a pair of goals with Tristen Robins also scoring for the visitors. Blake Allan and Mark Kastelic replied for the Hitmen who twice erased one goal deficits before the Florchuk winner. Calgary outshot the Blades 39-31.
ALUMNUS OF THE GAME: This season the Hitmen, in partnership with Adrenalin Source for Sports, are honouring an alumnus at each home game. Today's alumnus, Andrew Fyten, spent parts of three seasons with the team from 2015 to 2018. In 155 career games the forward notched 35 points (14g, 21a). He is now using his WHL Scholarship at Mount Royal University and has 9 points (3g, 6a) in 8 games while playing hockey for the Cougars.
WORLD STAGE: Hitmen forward Sean Tschigerl is with Canada Black at the 2019 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge. The eight-team tournament co-hosted between Medicine Hat, AB and Swift Current, SK began yesterday and runs until Nov. 9. The 16-year-old is the 29th player in franchise history to participate in the tournament. He is also an Alternate Captain with Canada Black.
IN THE COMMUNITY: On Monday, Nov. 4, it's the Third Annual Hockey Calgary Leadership Day at the Big Four Building on Stampede Park. All Hitmen players will attend this event from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm acting as mentors for 1,000 minor hockey kids. Guest speakers include Flames head coach Bill Peters.
ONE YEAR AGO: Calgary is seven points ahead of their start through 13 games last season when they owned a record of 4-7-2-0.

Net proceeds will be donated to the Calgary Prostate Cancer Centre. Bidding is underway and closes at 8:00 p.m. MT on Tuesday, Nov. 12. Each game-worn and game-issued black and pink jersey inspired by Hart's ring attire is authentically autographed by Bret Hart and the individual Hitmen player.
PROSPECT WATCH: Mason Finley, Calgary's fifth-round pick, 101st overall, in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft is off to a hot start this season. The 15-year-old has nine points (5g, 4a) in six games for the Okanagan Rockets of the BC Minor Midget League. He has also appeared in one game with the Okanagan Rockets in the BC Major Midget League. His dad Jeff played 708 career games in the NHL from 1987 to 2004 while his brother Jack is a centre with the Spokane Chiefs.
