KANNAPOLIS, N.C. - The Kannapolis Intimidators, Class A Affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, have transferred catcher Carlos Perez to Extended Spring Training and received catcher Daniel Gonzalez from Class A-Advanced Winston-Salem. Perez, who is in his first season in the United States following two years with the Dominican Summer League White Sox (2014-15), appeared in two games with the Intimidators. On Wednesday, the 19-year-old catcher collected his first hit domestically.

Gonzalez, 20, has appeared in eight games this season with Kannapolis, batting .261 (5-26) with two doubles, three RBI, and two runs scored. He split last season between the Arizona League White Sox and Kannapolis, batting .263 (26-99) with a home run and 20 RBI in 33 games in his domestic debut.

The Intimidators open a 3-game series in Charleston, S.C., tonight at 7:05 p.m. against the RiverDogs at Joseph P. Riley Jr. Ballpark. The game can be heard live on IntimidatorsBaseball.com or via the TuneInn App.
