Fighting On: The Tulsa Oilers continue their busiest week of the season heading into a three game weekend. The Oilers visit the Amarillo Gorillas Friday, at 7 p.m.; host the Oklahoma City Blazers Saturday at 7:35 p.m. and visit the Wichita Thunder Sunday with a special New Year's Eve face off time of 5:05 p.m. Friday's and Sunday's games can be heard on KRVT AM 1270 and via the internet at www.tulsaoilers.com.
Xmas Events: The Oilers dropped a 3-2 decision to Bossier-Shreveport on December 23rd, beat Oklahoma City 8-4 Christmas night and lost 4-2 to Oklahoma City the next night.
Season Highs: The eight goals against Oklahoma City on Christmas are a season high for the Oilers. They scored six goals in the second period, also a season high. The next night they set a season high with 98 penalty minutes as the Blazers and Oilers combined for 152 minutes, also a season high.
Wig's Tops: Right winger Mike Wiggins scored his 19th goal of the season Tuesday night, giving him the CHL lead in goals scored. David Masse has 17 goals which puts him third in the league.
Roster Moves: The Oilers activated Marlon Joseph from injured reserve, but had to place Brent McMann on the 14 day injured reserve list after he suffered an injury in Oklahoma City on Christmas night.
