Kamloops, BC - Brendan Burke made 23 saves in a first star performance leading the Calgary Hitmen to a 4-2 win over the Kamloops Blazers on Friday night at the Sandman Centre.

Burke, making his first appearance since an October 2nd injury, saw his shutout streak come to an end at 171:40, the second longest run of his Western Hockey League career.

Beck Malenstyn, Jordy Stallard and Radel Fazleev all had two point outings for Calgary with a goal and an assist while Carsen Twarynski chipped in a pair of helpers.

Layne Bensmiller rounded out the scoring for a Hitmen team that built a 3-0 third period lead before a Kamloops rally fell short.
