Bulls to Bulldogs

The OHL announced today that the Belleville Bulls have been sold to a businessman in Hamilton and will become the Hamilton Bulldogs next season. The Bulldogs will remain in the Eastern Division with Ottawa, Kingston, Peterborough and Oshawa commencing next season. The Bulls have been a member in the OHL since 1981.

The move is the second relocation of an OHL franchise in the OHL. Long-time owner of the Plymouth Whalers, Peter Karmanos, recently sold his team to Flint, Michigan and the franchise will be relocated after 23 years of ownership in the OHL. The Flint franchise will be renamed soon and the team will launch it's new team jerseys and team colours within the next month.

The Sudbury Wolves will play the final regular season home game in Belleville when the Wolves travel to Belleville on March 21st. Follow the Wolves on the road next week as the Wolves complete the 2014-15 season in Peterborough, Belleville and Ottawa.
