Bullpen Delivers as Owlz Take Game 1

OREM - Pitching led the way for the Orem Owlz tonight as they only gave up a combined six hits and two earned coming away with the 6-2 win over the Helena Brewers. Starting pitcher, Jose Rodriguez, went 4.0 innings giving up just two earned but picked up the no decision. It was Travis Herrin who got the win, with the bullpen going a combined five innings while surrendering only two hits.
Second baseman, Hutton Moyer, got the scoring started in the bottom of the first inning with a solo shot to left field, his third of the season. Catcher, Tanner Lubach, delivered for the Owlz going 2-4 with RBI's in both the 2nd and 6th innings tonight.
As the best fielding team in the entire Pioneer League, the Owlz finished tonight with no errors and started the 9th with a highlight reel play from shortstop, David Fletcher. Designated hitter, David Denson, hit a grounder deep into the hole with Fletcher fielding it and making the spinning off-balance throw to first for the out. Relief pitcher, Arjenis Fernandez, finished the game retiring all six batters he faced to close it out for the Owlz.
Brewers pitcher, Jake Drossner, picked up his first loss of the season going 3.0 innings giving up two earned off four hits. The Brewers fall to 8-12 on the season while the Owlz improve their league leading record to 16-8.
Tomorrow's game is scheduled to start at 4:15 P.M.
