
Bulldogs to play five games this week

The Hamilton Bulldogs will be seeking their 300th career regular season win, as they play four games this week. All-time the Bulldogs have recorded 299 regular season wins.
The Bulldogs will travel to St. John's for games versus the Maple Leafs on Tuesday, Jan. 4th and Wednesday, Jan. 5th. The Bulldogs will return home to face the Grand Rapids Griffins on Friday, Jan. 7th and the St. John's Maple Leafs on Saturday, Jan. 8th.
The Bulldogs earned five points in five games this past week. After winning 3-2 at home against Edmonton (Dec. 27), the Bulldogs finished the week with a 2-2-0-1 record. The Bulldogs rebounded from a 2-0 loss in Cincinnati (Dec. 29) and a 3-2 loss in Milwaukee (Dec. 30) by beating Grand Rapids 5-0 (Dec. 31). The team finished the week at home with a 3-2 shootout loss to Syracuse (Jan. 2).
During last week's games, Bulldogs forward Tomas Plekanec led the team in scoring with four goals. Steve Ott, Dan Focht, and Corey Locke each scored one goal and two assists, while Duncan Milroy added two goals.
Five different Bulldogs players scored against Grand Rapids on Friday, while Yann Danis posted his 2nd shutout of the season.

Bulldogs Team Notes
By earning five points in the last five games the Bulldogs are now tied with Cleveland for fifth in the North Division and eight points behind Edmonton and St. John's...with the loss to Syracuse on Sunday, the Bulldogs fall to 1-3 in the shootout...the Dogs are two games below .500 with a 5-6-2-2 home and 8-9-2-1 away record ... the Bulldogs are just two regular season goals shy of 2000 All-time
Tomas Plekanec has scored four goals in his last five games. He also scored the game-winning goal in the come-from-behind victory over Edmonton.
Corey Locke led the Bulldogs in scoring during the month of December with 11 points (4-7-11) in 12 games. He scored four goals and added seven assists.
Yann Danis posted his second shutout of the season in a 5-0 win over Grand Rapids. Danis made 29 saves for his 10th win of the season.
Raitis Ivanans scored his first goal of the season at Grand Rapids on December 31st. Ivanans' goal was also the game-winner in the contest.
Andrei Kostitsyn has led the Belarus National Team in scoring at the 2005 World Junior Hockey Championships. Through five games, Kostitsyn has record one goal and four assists for five points.

Mountain Tire Giveaway
One lucky fan attending the Bulldogs home game on Friday, January 7th at 7:30 p.m. versus the Grand Rapids Griffins will receive $500 towards a set of new tires courtesy of Mountain Tire. During the second intermission, a group of randomly selected fans will compete in a wild and wacky competition to take home the prize.
The Red Cross
During the Bulldogs home game on Saturday, January 8th at 7:00 p.m. versus the St. John's Maple Leafs, the Canadian Red Cross will be collecting money for the Asia Earthquake & Tsunami Relief fund. Fans attending the game are encouraged to make monetary donations of any sum.

BULLDOGS' ROAD GAME TO BE TELEVISED LIVE ON CABLE 14!
Hamilton Bulldogs at St. John's Maple Leafs - Tuesday, January 4th, 6:00 p.m.
Hamilton's Cable 14 have announced they will be televising the Hamilton Bulldogs' - Tuesday, January 4th game LIVE at 6:00 p.m., when the Bulldogs visit the St. John's Maple Leafs at Mile One Stadium.
Bulldogs fans can join Cable 14 panellists Todd Crocker and Norm Miller for in depth game analysis.
The telecast is a Rogers Television - St. John's production. Cable 14 is receiving a live feed of the game courtesy of Leafs TV.
This season Hamilton's Cable 14 will televise 12 Hamilton Bulldogs home games, as well as air the Hamilton Bulldogs monthly show DOGS' LIFE, which features Bulldogs players and special reports.
SANFORD RECALLED BY BULLDOGS
The Hamilton Bulldogs announced they have recalled defenceman James Sanford from the Peoria Riverman of the ECHL.
Sanford, a 20-year-old native of Alma, New Brunswick, has played in 24 games for Peoria this season and has tallied 11 points on two goals and nine assists, along with 16 penalty minutes. The 5'8, 180-pound defenceman participated in the Bulldogs training in October.
Last season Sanford played for the Moncton Wildcats of the QMJHL. Sanford led all Moncton defenceman in scoring with 53 points (16-37-53) in 61 games played.
Sanford will join the Bulldogs in St. John's, Newfoundland for their game Tuesday night versus the Maple Leafs.
