Bulldogs Explode with Eight Goals

The Hamilton Bulldogs exploded with a season high eight goals as they defeated the Lock Monsters 8-2 in Lowell on Wednesday night.

With the win the Bulldogs remain in first place in the Canadian Division with a record of 13 wins, 6 losses, 1 tie and 1 overtime loss.

Scoring the Bulldogs goals were Jarret Stoll (2), Jason Ward (2), Benoit Gratton, Alexei Semenov, Marcel Hossa and Tony Salmelainen. The goal scored by Semenov was his first of the season.

Igor Knyazev and Nikos Tselios had the goals for Lowell.

The Bulldogs set three franchise records in the game including: fastest six-goals scored in one game (18:21), fastest eight goals in a game (35:58), and most goals scored in one period (six).

Individually, Bulldogs centre Benoit Gratton tied a franchise high for most points in a game, as he recorded five points on one goal and four assists in the contest. Other Bulldogs players to score five points in a single game include Jason Bonsignore (Oct. 12, 1996), Chris Ferraro (Oct. 16, 1998) and Kevin Brown (twice) - (Nov. 2, 2001) & (Apr. 3, 2002).

The Hamilton Bulldogs will continue their road trip on Friday, November 29th as they travel to the Pepsi Arena in Albany to take on the River Rats.
