Amerks Sign Defenseman Kevin Bolibruck

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Americans General Manager Jody Gage announced today the signing of defenseman Kevin Bolibruck.

The Peterborough, Ontario, native returns to the Amerks for the second time in his professional hockey career. He played in a career-high 76 games with Rochester during the 2000-01 season. He joined the Amerks earlier today in Philadelphia and was signed to a 25-game professional tryout contract (PTO).

Bolibruck is coming off a career season with the Houston Aeros. Last season, he registered a career-best 18 points and 15 assists for the Aeros. He is in his fifth season of pro hockey after playing one season with the Canadian National Team (1997-98) and three seasons with the hometown Peterborough Petes of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). He also played in 20 games with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers to start the 2002-03 season, before being released earlier this week.

Rochester plays the Philadelphia Phantoms tonight at 7:05 p.m. at the First Union Spectrum. The game will be broadcast on WHTK 1280-AM and on the web at www.amerks.com. The game is the second of four meetings between the two teams. The Phantoms defeated Rochester 2-1 in overtime on October 12th.
