Grand Rapids puts its 13-game unbeaten streak (10-0-3-0) to the test as they begin a five-game road trip tonight in Hershey (7:30 ET), where the Bears are 5-0-2-0 in their last seven games in their new den, the Giant Center. The Griffins then celebrate Thanksgiving in Binghamton (6:05 ET) against a team of Ottawa prospects, many of whom wore Grand Rapids sweaters in 2001-02. Grand Rapids enters the week as the league's only unbeaten road team at 5-0-1-0 on the year.
Hartford entertains Worcester tonight (7:05 ET) in a battle of New England rivals. The Wolf Pack have scored 23 goals in their last three contests on home ice, including a 9-4 drubbing of Springfield on Saturday. Roman Lyashenko and Ken Gernander are each a plus-12 on the season, trailing only the IceCats' Sergei Varlamov (+14) among AHL forwards. The game marks the return to the Hartford Civic Center of Worcester's Jason Dawe and Terry Virtue, members of the Pack's 2000 Calder Cup title team.
Bridgeport's eight-game home unbeaten streak (6-0-2-0) collides with Manchester's 5-1-1-0 road record at the Arena at Harbor Yard tonight (7:05 ET). Trent Hunter, one of 11 players to dress for both the Sound Tigers and the New York Islanders already this season, still leads Bridgeport with 19 points in 17 outings despite a recent four-game drought, and Rick DiPietro is 7-0-4 in his last 11 decisions. Defenseman Tomas Zizka has 10 points in his last eight games for the Monarchs.
Chicago hosts Utah tonight (7:30 CT, 6:30 MT) as both teams try to continue their climb up the West Division ladder. The defending champion Wolves have the fewest points (13) in the conference, but are coming off a 6-1 win over West-leading Houston on Saturday. The Grizzlies, one game into a seven-game road trip, are 3-0-0-1 against Chicago this year, including a 3-2 overtime triumph at the Allstate Arena on Friday. Jon Sim has a point in seven straight games and 22 points in his 15 games with Utah this season.
