
Buccaneers Handle Stars, 4-1

Des Moines, Iowa - The Buccaneers snapped a five-game home losing streak with a 4-1 win against the Stars on Saturday night in Buccaneer Arena.
Des Moines opened the scoring at 10:18 of the first period when Kenny Hausinger slid a rebound past Stars goalie Peyton Jones for his sixth goal of the season.
Zach Jordan made it 2-0 shortly after with a shot from the right circle to give the Buccaneers a two-goal advantage at the first intermission.
The Stars were unable to cut into the lead in the second, as the Bucs continued to cruise with Ty Pelton-Byce's goal at 16:24 of the period.
Lincoln got on the board midway through the third period with Biagio Lerario's ninth goal of the season, but the Bucs would add an empty netter late in the game to make it a 4-1 final.
Jones finished with 30 saves as the Stars were outshot 34-25.
