
Bruins open preseason tonight

Providence, RI -- The Providence Bruins, member of the American Hockey League, begin their 2005 pre-season schedule tonight when they host their Atlantic Division rivals, the Hartford Wolf Pack, at the University of Rhode Island's Bradford R. Boss Arena. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. Tonight's game is the first of four pre-season games for the Black and Gold.
As a special benefit for fans in attendance, all Bruin players not dressed for the game will be available for autographs during the second intermissions.
The Bruins will travel to Springfield for a 7:30 p.m. game against the Falcons on Friday, September 30.
The Black and Gold concludes the pre-season schedule with a home-and-home series against the Portland Pirates beginning on Saturday, October 1 at 7:05 p.m. at the Portland Ice Arena. The teams wrap up the pre-season on Sunday, October 2 at 5:00 p.m. at the Bridgewater (Massachusetts) Ice Arena.

Head coach Scott Gordon and his club kick off the regular season on Friday, October 14 at 7:05 p.m. against the Portland Pirates at the Dunkin' Donuts Center Providence.
