
Bears cut eight in preparation for opening night

HERSHEY - The HERSHEY BEARS announced today that eight players have been reassigned out of 2005 training camp. The announcement was made today by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.
Centerman Justin Aikins was assigned today to the Columbia Inferno (ECHL), while center Jonathan Goodwin was sent to the Fort Wayne Komets (UHL). Forward Darryl Boyce returned to the University of New Brunswick, while four other players were assigned to South Carolina (ECHL). The four include defenseman Aaron Power, left wing Ty Morris, defenseman J.F. David and center Jeff Legue. Center Brendan Cook was also assigned today to Reading (ECHL).
The BEARS play the club's final preseason game of 2005 this Sunday when the Norfolk Admirals come to call at GIANT Center. Face-off on Sunday night is 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available for the game at the GIANT Center box office, or by calling (717) 534-3911. All tickets for BEARS preseason games are $7 for general admission seating.
