
Iowa Stars unveil team's new Web site

DES MOINES, IA - Iowa Stars President John Pettit, in conjunction with InfinityProSports.com, today announced the re-launching of the Iowa Stars Official Website, IOWASTARSHOCKEY.com.
"We're thrilled about the advances to our website, especially being able to provide our fans with all the latest and up-to-date information", commented Pettit. "All of the aspects that have been added will make our website much more fan friendly and provide all the information our fans need."
A new feature that has been added to the site is the new easy to read interactive schedule. Fans are now able to click on the schedule portion of the site and view box scores from every game played this season.
Iowa Stars statistics will be just a click off the main page and will now include the most up-to-date individual player and team statistics as well as access to league statistics for every team in the AHL.
A new scoreboard feature gives AHL fans the opportunity to view scores from around the league with just the click of the mouse. A click on the AHL stats link will get you connected with every league statistic you need as well as access to the AHL's website, theahl.com.
Another feature will soon be the inclusion of a brand new Online Team Shop. Viewers will soon be able to easily order selected Iowa Stars merchandise such as jerseys, T-Shirts, official game pucks and hats.
OPENING WEEKEND: The Iowa Stars begin their inaugural season on October 6th and 8th at Wells Fargo Arena against the Peoria Rivermen and Omaha Knights, respectively. Both games will have a 7:05 PM start time. Tickets to all games can be obtained by calling 515-23-STARS.
PRE-SEASON: The Stars kick-off the exhibition season with a game TONIGHT at 7:05 PM at Wells Fargo Arena against the Peoria Rivermen. Highlighted by an initiative with KCCI to raise funds for the victims of Hurricane Katrina, every box office ticket sold for the Stars first exhibition game on September 27, the team will donate 50% of the ticket price to the Red Cross.
