Brooklyn, NY - On Seinfeld Night at MCU Park, Brandon Brosher had a night that was real and spectacular as the 20-year-old slugger set a franchise record with seven RBI and Brooklyn defeated Williamsport by the score of 9-2 at, what was for at least one night, Kramerica Industries Park on Coney Island.

In the top of the first inning, Brooklyn starter Jose Celas walked the bases loaded but was able to wiggle out of trouble when he got Gregori Rivero to strike out and end the threat. In the bottom of the frame, the Cyclones would again load the bases, but the outcome would be much different.

Enmanuel Zabal got the inning going with a one-out single and Vinny Siena followed with a single of his own. After David Thompson fanned for the second out of the frame, Jeff Diehl was hit by a pitch to load the bases for Brandon Brosher. The 6-3, 225 pound back stop took advantage of the scoring chance and connected on a 1-2 offering and sent it over the left field scoreboard for the first grand slam by a Cyclone since 2012, as Brooklyn took a 4-0 lead.

Williamsport responded quickly, scoring a single run in the top of the second thanks to a hustle play by William Cuicas. The 'Cutters third baseman started the frame with a leadoff double, but stayed in that spot as Celas was able to retire the next two batters on a pop out and strikeout. Zack Coppola was the next man up and he hit a what seemed like a routing ground ball to first base, but the center fielder was able to beat the Cyclones pitcher to the bag and Cuicas scored all the way from second on the infield single to make it 4-1.

Williamsport loaded the bases in the third inning but failed to score, and loaded the bases again the fourth inning - with only one out - but Brooklyn reliever Kevin Canelon (1-1) was able to limit the damage to a single run as the 'Cutters trimmed the Cyclones advantage to 4-2. That would be the last offensive threat that Wiliamsport would mount, as Canelon settled things down over his 4.2 innings of shutout relief.

The Brooklyn bats weren't done though. In the bottom of the sixth Williamsport reliever Andrew Godail walked the bases loaded and Branden Kaupe had a sacrifice fly to make it 5-2 in favor of the Cyclones. An inning later, Brooklyn loaded the bases again, this time thanks to a pair of walks and a single from David Thompson, setting the stage for more heroics from Brandon Brosher. The Spring Hill, Florida native ripped a bases clearing double off the left-centerfield wall to make it 8-2 Brooklyn, and would later score on a Pedro Perez sacrifice fly to make the final 9-2.

The Cyclones will look to complete the sweep of the three-game series on Monday evening at MCU Park. RHP Tyler Badamo (1-1) will take the mound for Brooklyn. Tickets, which start at just $10 are available now by calling 718-507-TIXX, visiting the MCU Park Box Office, or right here at BrooklynCyclones.com.
