NORFOLK, VA - Today, the Norfolk Admirals announced that goaltender Mike Brodeur was reassigned to Norfolk by their NHL parent club, the Chicago Blackhawks, from their ECHL affiliate, the Greenville Grrrowl.

Originally selected by Chicago in the seventh round (211th overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, the Calgary, AB, native stands at 6'2", 166 lbs.

Brodeur has appeared in 21 games with Greenville this season, posting a record of 12-8-1 with a 2.60 goals against average and a .917 save percentage. He is currently eighth among active ECHL goaltenders in GAA, tied for first in the ECHL in wins, second in minutes (1,271) and third in saves (605).

Last season, Brodeur led all Greenville netminders in games played (35) and victories (19). He made his AHL debut on April 1, 2005 versus Bridgeport in relief of Adam Munro.
