Pardy Recalled From Las Vegas; Komarniski To Play In Spengler Cup

Omaha, NE - The Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights announced today that they have recalled defenseman Adam Pardy from the Las Vegas Wranglers, their affiliate in the ECHL. Pardy will join the team in time for its two games this week at San Antonio and Houston. The Knights also announced that defenseman Zenith Komarniski has been selected to play for Team Canada in the Spengler Cup tournament to be played in Davos, Switzerland from December 26 - 31.

Pardy has had two prior stints with the Knights. Overall, he's appeared in two games, registering no points and two penalty minutes. The native of Bonavista, Newfoundland has played in 22 games for Las Vegas, notching four assists and 39 penalty minutes. This is Pardy's first professional season.

Komarniski has played in 30 games for the Knights, earning a goal and five assists for six points. He also has 47 penalty minutes. The native of Edmonton, Alberta scored his first goal of the season on December 3rd at Chicago.

The Knights return to the ice tomorrow when they visit the San Antonio Rampage. Game time is 7:00 p.m. The game can be heard live on 1420 AM KOTK and on the internet at omahaaksarbenknights.com beginning at 6:45 p.m. The game can also be seen live on the web by clicking on the B2 Networks link on the Knights' web site. The Knights finish the week on Friday when they take on the Houston Aeros at 7:35 p.m.

The Knights' next home game is next Friday, December 30th when they host the Milwaukee Admirals at 7:00 p.m.

Tickets are available at the Civic Auditorium box office, Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The box office is open through the opening face-off on game nights.
