BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - Alan Quine had two goals and an assist while Dustin Jeffrey recorded five assists as the Bridgeport Sound Tigers downed the Binghamton Senators 7-1 on Sunday afternoon at Webster Bank Arena.

The Sound Tigers scored just 2:19 into the game, when Kael Mouillierat gathered the puck behind the Senators' net, lifted the puck onto his stick blade and whipped it past Binghamton goaltender Peter Mannino for the score. The goal was Mouillierat's 19th of the season.

Bridgeport struck again just over two minutes later, as Quine's backhand shot deflected and kunckleballed past Mannino for the Belleville, Ont., native's 17th goal of the season, prompting Binghamton head coach Luke Richardson to call a timeout.

The Senators got one back just over two minutes later, as Buddy Robinson finished off a nice 2-on-1 passing play with Alex Guptill. The goal was Robinson's 11th of the season. Binghamton nearly tied the game soon afterwards, but Bridgeport goaltender Kevin Poulin was up to the task, keeping the puck out and retaining the lead.

The Sound Tigers' 7th-ranked power play went to work with just over 10 minutes remaining in the period, as Binghamton's Garrett Thompson was called for boarding. Though the Sound Tigers were unable to score with the man-advantage, Griffin Reinhart tallied his fifth goal of the season when he fired a shot through a screen soon after the power play ended, making the score 3-1.

The second frame started with the Sound Tigers putting lots of pressure on the Senators, eventually resulting in Bridgeport receiving a two man-advantage. Binghamton's defense held, however, keeping the Sound Tigers' advantage at a couple.

Quine scored his second goal of the game at 7:38 of the second period. The forward made a power move to the front of the net and shoveled the puck past a sprawling Mannino for his 18th goal of the season, increasing the Senators' deficit to three.

The Sound Tigers' onslaught continued, as Bridgeport captain Aaron Ness rifled a shot from the blue line that fooled Mannino, making the score 5-1. The goal was Ness' 8th of the season. A heavily Bridgeport-dominated second period ended with the Sound Tigers up by four goals and leading in shots 31-17.

The Senators came out flying to start the third period, and almost scored a much-needed goal. However, the shot hit the post, keeping the Sound Tigers in front 5-1.

John Persson scored a power-play-goal for the Sound Tigers with just over eight minutes left in the game and the rout was on. Sebastian Collberg fired a slapshot that Mannino had trouble corralling, which allowed Persson to swipe the rebound into the mesh for the score. The goal was Persson's 11th of the season.

Johan Sundstrom scored the Sound Tigers' seventh goal of the game with just over three minutes remaining in the contest. Mike Halmo was able to deflect a bouncing puck to the front of the net, where Sundstrom was able to slam it into the cage. The tally was Sundstrom's sixth of the season.

Poulin played well for Bridgeport, making 31 stops in the win. The Sound Tigers power play went 1-for-5 while the penalty kill went 2-for-2.

The Sound Tigers hit the road for two games, heading to Syracuse on Friday, March 27 for a game against the Crunch before a rematch with the Senators on Saturday in Binghamton.
