American Hockey League Announces Suspensions

March 22, 2015 - American Hockey League (AHL) News Release


SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... The American Hockey League today announced that Lehigh Valley Phantoms center Blair Jones has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of an illegal check to the head of an opponent in a game at Hartford on Mar. 20.

Jones was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline).

Jones will miss Lehigh Valley's game today (Mar. 22) vs. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

The American Hockey League today announced that Albany Devils defenseman Dan Kelly has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of his actions in a game vs. Norfolk on Mar. 21.

Kelly received an automatic one-game suspension under the provisions of AHL Rule 23.6 for accumulating two game misconducts in the "physical fouls" category this season.

Kelly will miss Albany's game today (Mar. 22) vs. Hartford.
