Trenton Thunder News Release

Trenton, NJ - The Trenton Thunder, Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, announce that RHP Brad Halsey has been received from Advanced-A Tampa. The transaction leaves the Trenton 24-man active roster at one below its maximum.

Halsey, a former Major League pitcher with the Yankees, Diamondbacks and Athletics, will make his second appearance in a Trenton Thunder uniform. The righty last appeared for Trenton in 2003 when he made 15 starts and went 7-5 with a 4.93 ERA. The Houston native appeared in one game this year for the Florida State League Tampa Yankees after being signed as a Minor League free agent by the Yankees in May.

The Thunder continue their six-game homestand with game two of a three-game series with the Binghamton Mets Saturday at 7:05 PM from Waterfront Park. The Thunder will send Yankees top left-handed pitching prospect Manny Banuelos (2-0, 2.84) to the mound, while the B-Mets will counter with RHP Collin McHugh (0-1, 4.35). Tune-in to the game on 91.3 WTSR-FM and on trentonthunder.com. The SBLI Pre-Game Show with Jay Burnham and Hank Fuerst begins at 6:45 PM.
