
Bowie Baysox continue playoff push

Bowie, MD - With the Bowie Baysox currently tied with the Altoona Curve for second place in the Eastern League's Southern Division and in the hunt for a post-season berth in the Eastern League playoffs, the club announced today that individual playoff game tickets will go on sale to the public beginning on Monday, August 29 at 10 a.m.
Playoff tickets will be available for purchase on-line at www.baysox.com
Field Box Seats - $15.00 Under the Eastern League's playoff format, the champion of the Southern Division
could play as many as six home playoff games, while the second place club in the
division could host as many as five post-season contests. Entering Friday's action,
Bowie (69-63) was tied for second place in the Southern Division with Altoona (AA
Affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates). Both teams trail first-place Akron (AA
Affiliate of the Cleveland Indians) by eight full games in the standings. If the
Baysox finish in second place in the division, Games "A" and "B" would take place at
Prince George's Stadium on Friday, Sept. 9 and Saturday, Sept. 10 in the first round
of the E.L. playoffs. If the Baysox advance to the Eastern League Championship
Series games "C", "D", "E" would take place Thursday, Sept. 15 through Saturday,
Sept. 17. Game times for all home playoff games will be announced next week.
