Bowie Baysox Announce Player Moves

BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox announce a pair of roster moves today. 1B Joe Mahoney was transferred to Bowie from class Single-A Frederick, and LHP Cole McCurry was transferred to class Triple-A Norfolk. With the moves, the Baysox have 24 active players on their 24-man roster.

Mahoney was activated from Bowie's disabled list Friday, May 10, and was transferred to Frederick. He appeared in three games for the Keys, batting .500 (4-8) with two doubles two RBIs. In 10 games for Bowie this season, Mahoney is batting .235 (8-34) with three doubles, one home run and one RBI.

McCurry led the Baysox with 0.80 ERA over 33.2 innings of work. The southpaw appeared in 15 games, walking 14 batters and striking out 44.
