TONIGHT: The Richmond Flying Squirrels and Binghamton Mets will meet in the opener of a three-game series...The Flying Squirrels capped off a 4-2 road trip with a 9-3 series-clinching win over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on Sunday afternoon in front of 6,195 fans at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.

OVER THE TOP': The Flying Squirrels will attempt to climb back over the .500 mark in tonight's contest against Binghamton for the first time since 4/15 when they were 5-4...Richmond has previously been at .500 four times since 4/15 and the team has been unable to get a win on any of those occasions.
SERIES OF WINS: The Flying Squirrels won their third consecutive series, taking two of three from the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on Sunday after taking two of three against Reading and at Portland...It is just the second time in the two-year history of the franchise that Richmond has won three consecutive series...The club also won three straight series 7/29/10-8/15/10 (7-3)...The Flying Squirrels improved to 6-3 in rubber matches and 10-9 overall in series finales with Sunday's win.
NO PLACE LIKE HOME: The Flying Squirrels will play 20 of their next 27 games at home...The club is 18-11 at home and is batting .253 (262-for-1,035) in 30 games at The Diamond while averaging 4.17 runs per game at home (125R/30G)...Richmond recently completed a stretch where it played 13 of 16 games on the road...The team went 8-8 over that stretch including a 6-7 mark on the road...Overall, the club is 12-20 on the road, and is batting .201 (215-for-1,069) and averaging 3.22 runs per game (103R/32G) in 32 road contests.
THE JOLLY ROGER: Outfielder Roger Kieschnick is batting .325 (39-for-120) over his last 31 games with six doubles, two triples, four home runs, 17 RBIs and 17 runs scored...The 24-year-old has 15 multi-hit games over that span which also includes a season-long eight-game hit streak...He has raised his batting average from .173 to .254 since 5/7...Kieschnick currently has hits in five straight games (8-for-21), his team-leading fourth hit streak of five games or more.
PITCHING IN: The Flying Squirrels pitching staff leads the Eastern League with a 2.82 ERA through 62 games, the only staff with a sub-three ERA...Richmond's 2.82 staff ERA is the lowest in all of MiLB...The pitching staff has logged a league-high 568 1/3 innings of work and has allowed a league-low 212 runs.
MEN ON THE RUN: The Flying Squirrels stole a season-high five bases on Sunday in New Hampshire including two each by Charlie Culberson and Roger Kieschnick...It was the third and fourth times that a Flying Squirrels baserunner had stolen multiple bases in a game...It was the second this season that Kieschnick has stolen multiple bases in a game...The club's previous single-game high for most stolen bases was three which had occurred three times, most recently 5/9 at Bowie...Overall, Richmond is 58-for-80 (72.5 %) in stolen base attempts, tied for fourth-most stolen bases in the Eastern League.
