Bottom Of Order Helps \'Hawks Win, 4-2

ROCKFORD, Ill. - The bottom third of the order set the table for the Rockford RiverHawks in a 4-2 win over the Chillicothe Paints.

Jeremy Busch, Mike Lynch and Todd Dulaney were a combined 4-for-8 with a walk, three runs and a RBI, in front of 1,506 at Marinelli Field. Busch and Dulaney were each 2-for-3.

The RiverHawks never trailed. They loaded the bases to start the third inning on a single by Busch, a walk by Lynch and a bunt single from Dulaney. Olmo Rosario smashed a single off Chillicothe starter Perry Cunningham to drive home Busch and Lynch. In the eight, Dulaney doubled home a run and scored on Doug Schutt's infield single.

Rockford starter Justin Olson took a shutout into the ninth inning, but lost it on Noah Peery's one-on, one-out homer to left. Jason Glosser came on to get the last two outs and picked up his sixth save.

Olson (3-3) gave up nine hits, but struck out six and got the win. Cunningham struck out seven, but gave up eight hits in 6 2/3 innings and took the loss.

The RiverHawks have won three in a row and go for the sweep of the three-game series at 7:05 p.m. Friday. Blackhawk Communications and B-103 sponsor RiverHawks Logo Baseball Night for the first 1,000 through the gate.
