Nashville Sounds All-Star outfielder Corey Hart has been named the Milwaukee Brewers' June Minor League Player-of-the-Month.

The 23-year-old prospect -- who will represent Nashville in next week's Triple-A All-Star Game -- batted .413 (45-for-109) with 12 doubles, four home runs, and 16 RBIs in the stanza for the first-place Sounds.

Hart, who hit safely in 23 of his 27 June games, led all Pacific Coast League batters with his 45 hits, tied for the circuit lead with his 18 extra-base hits, ranked 4th in average, and placed 5th in the PCL with his .462 on-base percentage in the month.

Among his many highlights in the month were a career-best 5-for-5 night on June 2 at Albuquerque and a June 18 grand slam against Iowa, which was part of his first two-homer game of the season.

On the year, Hart ranks among the PCL leaders in doubles (T2nd-27), triples (T6th-six), and total bases (T9th-158).

The outfielder is currently riding a career-best 14-game hitting streak entering play on Thursday evening in New Orleans.

Hart will serve as the Sounds' lone representative at the 2005 Triple-A All-Star Game, which pits stars of the Pacific Coast League against stars of the International League. The game will occur on Wednesday, July 13 at Raley Field in Sacramento, California. Game time is 9:05 p.m. CT.

The exhibition will be Hart's fourth consecutive mid-season All-Star competition (California League in 2002, Southern League in 2003, and Triple-A in 2004).
