ASHWAUBENON, Wis. - The Green Bay Booyah fell on Wednesday night to the Madison Mallards in a high-scoring affair, 11-9.

The Booyah got off on the right foot as they scored four in the first inning, but the pitching would allow them to score four over the next three innings.

After nearly hitting a home run off the foul pole, Jake Berg (Jacksonville) straightened his swing out and laced a solo shot over the wall in right-center field to give the Booyah a one run lead. But the pitching would flutter again as they gave up another two in the fifth and another four in the sixth.

Berg again gave the Booyah some momentum in the bottom of the sixth when he ripped his second solo home run of the game to make it a 10-7 deficit.

The Booyah pulled to within two after Nathan Blasick's (West Virginia) RBI sacrifice fly to center field in the seventh inning. But the Booyah allowed one run to score to make it a three-run game. Despite Kaden Hollow's (Dixie State) solo home run in the ninth to cut it back down to two runs, the Booyah fell short.

With the loss, the Booyah drop to 1-3 on the season against the Mallards.

The Booyah will give the nod to Ryan Stefiuk (Vanderbilt) on Thursday. The Green Bay native will be making his fifth start of the season. He is 0-2 and carries a 7.16 ERA in 16.1 innings pitched.

The Mallards will start Ryan Lauk. This will be his second start against the Booyah this season. Back on June 12, he pitched 4.1 innings, allowing six hits, four runs, one walk while striking out four in a losing effort. He is 1-2 on the season with a 3.80 ERA.
