Schaumburg Boomers News Release
NORMAL, Ill. - The 2013 Frontier League Champion Schaumburg Boomers, presented by Wintrust Community Banks, ended the longest win streak in the history of the Normal CornBelters at seven games with a 4-3 decision on Wednesday.
Gerard Hall nailed a three-run homer in the top of the fourth inning to break a 1-1 tie and account for the difference in the contest. Hall has connected on four homers in the last three contests and finished with a pair of hits in the game. Cal Bowling worked five innings to earn his team leading seventh victory of the year. The Boomers received hits from seven individuals including two each from Hall, Alexi Colon, Tony Delmonico, and Michael Valadez.
Schaumburg (49-34) will look to win the series on Thursday night in a 7:00 p.m. game.
