Bombers Sign Forward Geverd

Dayton, OH - The Dayton Bombers signed forward John Geverd today, head coach Bill McDonald announced. Geverd is expected to play in tonight's game against the Elmira Jackals.

The 5-foot-11-inch, 217-pound native of Hooksett, New Hampshire, joins the Bombers following 30 games with the Hudson Valley Bears of the EPHL. Geverd had 48 points (15g,33a) and 10 PIM in the span.

He played four years at Babson College, accumulating 51 goals and 37 assists in 109 games. Geverd was the recipient of the J. Thom Lawler Award in 2007, which honors sportsmanship in New England Division III players.

The Dayton Bombers take on the Jackals tonight at 7:35 p.m. and again tomorrow night at 7:35. Fans can catch all of the action via the B2 Networks, with live streaming audio and video broadcasts by clicking here and selecting from the options in the Dayton/Elmira score box.

Action returns to the Nutter Center on March 13 and 14 when the Elmira Jackals come to town for a pair of 7:30 p.m. match ups.
