Bombers Lose Final Home Game, Annual Players Awards Announced

Dayton, OH – The Dayton Bombers dropped a 2-1 decision to the Trenton Titans in front of 2,379 at the Ervin J. Nutter Center Tuesday night. The annual players awards were also presented before the game, and Tyler Kolarik won the Most Valuable Player trophy.

Following a scoreless first period, the teams exchanged goals in the second period. Titans captain Rick Kowalsky opened the scoring at 2:48. Then, the Bombers tied the game 1-1 when TYLER SLOAN scored his 5th goal of the season at 7:42 of period two.

The game-winning goal was scored by rookie defenseman Tim Judy, on the powerplay, at 9:26 of the third period and the Titans dumped the Bombers 2-1.

The Bombers also presented the following annual team awards before the opening face-off:

Most Improved Player: (D) Bryan Nathe

Unsung Hero: (D) Alex Johnstone

Fan Favorite: (D) Alex Johnstone

Defensive Player: (F) Brett Nowak

Rookie of the Year: (G) Mike Ayers

Community Service: (F) Tyler Kolarik

Most Valuable Player: (F) Tyler Kolarik
