Bombers Add Forward Zanoski From Stockton

Dayton, OH - The Dayton Bombers claimed forward Tom Zanoski off waivers from the Stockton Thunder on Tuesday, head coach Bill McDonald announced.

Zanoski, 24, appeared in 3 games for the Thunder this season, picking up an assist. He played 42 games last season with in Stockton, recording 12 goals and 8 assists, while being whistled for 98 PIM. The Brampton, Ontario native also skated in three playoff games, tallying one assist.

"Tom is a real competitor," McDonald said. "He's a player that likes to get under opponents skin and ruffle things up a bit. He will definitely bring a lot of energy to the team."

The five-foot-11-inch, 185-pound left wing played two and a half seasons at Dalhousie University prior to turning pro, earning career numbers as a sophomore with 29 points (12g,17a) in 24 games.

"I'm excited to get to Dayton and play against teams I've never faced before," Zanoski said. "This is a fresh start to my season and I can't wait for the opportunity to contribute offensively for the Bombers."

Zanoski also played four seasons in the OHL, splitting time between Mississauga and Owen Sound. He amassed 126 points (45g, 81a) in his Ontario Hockey League career.
