BOISE, ID-On Monday July 4, 2011 the Boise Hawks will host "ALS Awareness Night" at Memorial Stadium. The Hawks are proud supporters of the initiative to educate, bring awareness to and raise funds for ALS. Come and see the six time Northwest League Champions honor Treasure Valley patients and families connected to ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), also known as "Lou Gehrig's Disease."
Join the Hawks on Monday night for baseball, great food and fireworks - and to show your support to those who are suffering from ALS and their families. A portion of proceeds from the evening will go to benefit the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI).
If you would like to come out to support the cause, the Boise Hawks are offering group tickets to the July 4th game. To purchase a group ticket that will include a one hour all-you-can-eat pre-game picnic, ticket to the Boise Hawks 4th of July game and the opportunity to come out and support this great cause call 208-322-5000. Tickets are $30 and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the ALS TDI to help treat and prevent Lou Gehrig's Disease. Tickets and picnic bracelets will be available day of game at the stadium.

The Hawks began Northwest League play as an independent club from 1987-89. The team was affiliated with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim from 1990-2000 and have been with the Chicago Cubs since 2001. The club has won 6 NWL Championships, the most recent banner coming in 2004.
