ATLANTIC CITY BOARDWALK BULLIES 4 @ Dayton Bombers 5 (overtime)
For the third time in three nights, the Boardwalk Bullies found themselves headed to overtime after tying the game in the last minute of regulation. Sunday against the Bombers, Jade Galbraith provided the offense for the game-tying goal with 57 seconds left in the third period. Despite the last-minute catch-up effort, the Dayton Bombers defeated the Boardwalk Bullies, 5-4. Single-handedly, Kevin Colley had the Bullies up 2-1 halfway through the second period. Colley scored two unassisted goals; one in the first period and one in the second. But the Bombers would not relent, tying the game at two going into the third period.
Shawn Maltby scored a power-play goal early in the third, and the Bombers answered with two tallies before Galbraith chipped in his goal with goalie Matt Yeats on the bench and an extra attacker on the ice.
Dayton's Chris M. Thompson needed a mere minute in overtime to put the game to rest, handing the Bullies its second of back-to-back overtime losses. Yeats made 29 saves in his first start this weekend and Dayton goalie Andrew Allen stopped 25 Bullies shots. BULLIES BITES
