Blues Recall Oystrick on Emergency Basis

St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has recalled defenseman Nathan Oystrick from the Blues' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen, on emergency basis.

Oystrick, 28, has played in 56 games for the Rivermen this season ranking third on the team with 41 points including 13 goals and 28 assists. His 13 goals are tied for the most in the AHL by a defenseman. The 6'0, 210-pound defenseman has also made seven appearances for the Blues collecting two assists.

The Regina, Saskatchewan native was originally drafted by Atlanta in the seventh round, 198th overall, of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He was signed as a free agent by the Blues on July 12, 2010.
