Canucks Recall Yann Sauve

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, announced today they have recalled defenceman Yann Sauve.

Sauve, 21, has appeared in 31 games this season with the Moose recording nine points (2g, 7a) and 12 penalty minutes. He recently scored his first professional goal while with the Moose on Mar. 5/11 vs. Milwaukee. Since then, Sauve has recorded five points (2g, 3a) in six games. The rookie defenceman is currently on a three-game assist streak. Sauve began the season in the ECHL with the Victoria Salmon Kings and made his AHL debut with Manitoba on Dec. 16/10. The native of Montreal, PQ was previously recalled by Vancouver on Feb. 15/11 and following two games with the Canucks, he was re-assigned to the Moose on Feb. 22/11.

Sauve was originally drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the second round, 41st overall, of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
