Blues Activate and Assign Dave Scatchard to Peoria

St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has assigned forward Dave Scatchard to the Blues' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen. Scatchard has missed the last 28 games with a knee injury suffered in the Blues' 4-1 loss to San Jose on December 18 at Scottrade Center.

Scatchard, 35, has made eight appearances for the Blues this season notching one assist and serving six penalty minutes. The 6'3, 220-pound forward has also played in 23 games with the Rivermen registering 11 points on three goals and eight assists to accompany 35 penalty minutes.

The Hinton, Alberta native was originally drafted by Vancouver in the second round, 42nd overall, of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. He was signed by St. Louis as a free agent on August 4, 2010.

The Rivermen will face off against the Texas Stars at Carver Arena on Wednesday. The game is set for a 7:05p.m. start and can be heard locally on 96.5 ESPN in Peoria or online at www.rivermen.net.
