BlueClaws Drop Second Straight, Lose 7-2

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - The game was tied 2-2 into the 6th inning when West Virginia scored five runs to take a commanding 7-2 lead in the Power's victory over the BlueClaws Wednesday night.

Lakewood scored twice in the 1st inning to take a 2-0 lead, but they would not score the rest of the way against West Virginia starting pitcher Robby Rowland and two Power relievers.

Chris Duffy extended his hitting streak to 13 games with a 2-for-4 performance. He is hitting .400 on the season in 30 games with the BlueClaws.

The BlueClaws and Power will play the final game of a four-game series as part of their season-long nine-game homestand. Lakewood will send All-Star Colin Kleven (4-6, 4.40) to the mound, and he will start against West Virginia's Ryan Hafner (0-5, 6.53). Ryan Howard will be making a rehab appearance with the BlueClaws in the ballgame as the designated hitter.
