
Skole Strikes Again, Hits 18th Homer to Lead Suns Past Delmarva

Salisbury, MD - The Hagerstown Suns (47-29) rallied for five runs in the seventh inning to come from behind and beat the Delmarva Shorebirds (28-47), 8-4 at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium in Salisbury, MD on Wednesday afternoon.
Suns starting pitcher Taylor Hill (8-4) earned his team-leading eighth win of the season, allowing three runs on seven hits over six innings of work.
Matt Skole blasted his league-leading 18th homerun of the season, a three-run shot in the seventh inning, which proved to be the game winning hit. Justin Miller went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
Shorebirds starter Zach Davies did not factor in the decision, allowing two runs on five hits over five innings of work. Reliever Jesse Beal (1-2) suffered the loss in two innings out of the bullpen, hit for five runs (four earned) on four hits. Second baseman Sammie Starr went 2-for-4 with a solo homerun for Delmarva.
The Suns will go for a sweep of the Shorebirds on Thursday evening at 7:05 p.m. when LHP Bobby Hansen, Jr. (1-0, 2.13) takes the mound against Delmarva's' LHP Eduardo Rodriguez (2-3, 3.29).
