LAKEWOOD, N.J. - The Greenville Drive scored twice in the first inning and never looked back as they avoided a three-game sweep in a 7-0 victory over the BlueClaws.

Greenville tacked on one run in the 5th and 6th innings to take a 4-0 lead before a three-run 7th inning gave put plenty of space between them and the BlueClaws. Yeiper Castillo and starting pitcher Henry Owens combined to strike out 14 batters and allow just three hits in nine innings between them.

The lone BlueClaw with multiple hits was designated hitter Aaron Altherr who was 2-for-3 with a stolen base and hit-by-pitch. His batting average is now at .314 after hitting safely in 11 of his last 12 games played.

The BlueClaws were held scoreless for the second time this year. Both shutouts have come against the Drive with the first on April 8th when Greenville won 4-0.

The BlueClaws have a day-off before beginning a seven-game road trip in Charleston S.C. Lakewood's next game is Wednesday with Ethan Stewart (0-1, 1.33) heads to the mound against Scottie Allen (1-1, 6.00). First pitch for Wednesday's game from Joseph J. Riley Jr. Park is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
