Rome, GA - The Rome Braves were defeated by the Kannapolis Intimidators 7-0 in the final game of a three game series on Monday as 4,205 filled the seats at State Mutual Stadium. The Intimidators made it a 1-0 game in first inning as Rangel Ravelo smacked an RBI double down the right field line to score Ross Wilson who walked to lead off the game. As it turned out, that's all the offense Kannapolis would need. They added two runs in each of the second, third and sixth innings for the 7-0 shutout.

The Braves would have just six hits on the day and only one of the extra base variety which was a double by Logan Robbins in the fifth inning.

RHP Scott Snodgress (1-0) earned his first victory of the year for the Intimidators. He allowed three hits and struck out six in 5.2 innings. RHP Ernesto Silva (0-2) would record the loss, allowing four hits and five runs, four earned.

The Braves go on the road tomorrow to Hagerstown, MD and Greenville, NC. Rome will return to State Mutual Stadium Thursday, May 9 to play the Asheville Tourists in a four game set. For ticket information, contact the Rome Braves at 706-378-5144 or log onto www.romebraves.com.
