Bliech Placed On DL/Bush Activated

(TRENTON NJ) The Trenton Thunder, Double A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, announced today that they have put LHP Jeremy Bleich on the seven day disabled list with an undisclosed injury retroactive to May 17, and have activated RHP Paul Bush from the disabled list.

Bleich, 22, is 3-2 with a 4.79 ERA in eight starts for Trenton in 2010. He last pitched on Sunday against Binghamton, where he allowed six runs on six hits over five innings of work.

Bush, 30, has been activated after going down with an elbow injury towards the end of 2009. In 12 combined appearances with Trenton and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Bush went 3-3 with a 2.92 ERA in 2009, and made seven starts. He allowed 12 earned runs on 21 hits in 37 innings, while walking 18 and striking out 43.

The Thunder play game two of their three game series against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on Wednesday at 7:05 in Manchester, NH. RHP Lance Pendleton starts for the Thunder, while the Fisher Cats start RHP BJ LaMura.
