Kalamazoo Wings News Release
KALAMAZOO- Defenseman Jeremie Blain has been reassigned by the Vancouver Canucks to the Kalamazoo Wings. Blain is scheduled to be in the K-Wings lineup this evening.
Blain has recorded three points (2 goals, 1 assist) in eight games this season with the K-Wings.
The K-Wings will host the Toledo Walleye tonight at 7:30 p.m. on a 3, 2, 1 Countdown to Fun!, featuring $3 beer, $2 Pepsi products and $1 hot dogs. Tonight will also be the K-Wings 15th Annual Teddy Bear Toss Night presented by Little Caesars. Everyone coming to the game is encouraged to bring a new stuffed animal to participate in the Teddy Bear Toss. When the K-Wings score their first goal, fans will throw their stuffed animals onto the ice. The stuffed animals collected will go to the Salvation Army and to the K-Wings annual visit to the Bronson Children's Hospital.
This year the K-Wings will be delivering the stuffed animals to the Bronson Children's Hospital on Wednesday, December 17th at 2 p.m.
To cap off the thrilling entertainment for tonight, the K-Wings will also celebrate Sam Ftorek, who will be playing in his 1,000th career game. Besides playing his 1,000th career game, Ftorek will also tie Cam Brown for most games (789) played in ECHL history.
Tickets for all K-Wings home games are currently on sale at Wings Stadium Ticket Office, all Ticketmaster locations, including www.ticketmaster.com or by calling (800) 745-3000.
