TONIGHT'S MATCHUP

The Oilers and Beast clash in the first of eight meetings this season. Tulsa will host Brampton six times and will make one trip to Brampton in mid-February for a pair of games. The Oilers have won two in a row on home ice and sit four points out of first place in the Central Division. After recording just one win in its first seven games, the Beast has earned victories in six of its last ten contests and stands in sixth place in the Central Division. Tulsa's top scorer, Jon Booras (11 goals, 16 assists), is out of the lineup tonight with an upper body injury while Brampton is led by forward Chad Painchaud with 16 points (4 goals, 12 assists). The Oilers went 3-0-0 against the Beast in Tulsa last season and hold a 4-2-0 all-time record in the series.

SILENCING THE THUNDER

On Wednesday night at the BOK Center, the Oilers set a new season-high with three power play goals in a 7-4 romp over Wichita. Scott Macaulay, Drew Fisher, and T.J. Caig each chipped in three points to help the Oilers improve to 6-1-0 against their arch-rival this season. Kevin Carr turned aside 37 shots to record his league-leading 12 th win of the season and 12 of the Oilers' 16 skaters finished the night with at least one point.

OFFENSE SWITCHED ON

After scoring a total of seven goals in their previous three outings, the Oilers offense put seven goals on the board on Wednesday night. It was Tulsa's second-highest goal output of the season and the squad set a new season-high with 42 shots on net. The Oilers combined for 21 total points, their highest point total since putting up 25 points in a 9-6 win over Allen on the opening night of the season. A six-game power play drought finally came to an end as the Oilers went 3-for-9 on the man-advantage, just the second time this season they have scored multiple power play goals in a single game.

HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS

The Oilers are in the second game of a five-game home stand and will play ten of their next 12 games at the BOK Center. Brampton is in the second game of a nine-game road trip and will play 13 of its next 15 games away from home.

JUDSON RETURNS

Forward Luke Judson is back on the ice tonight for the first time since suffering an injury on November 15 against the Missouri Mavericks. The second-year pro out of Emo, Ontario was traded from the Idaho Steelheads early in the season and has registered one goal and two assists in eight games as an Oiler.

OPPOSITE ENDS OF THE PENALTY SPECTRUM

The Oilers have been shorthanded more times (113) than any other team in the ECHL and rank second in the league with 484 penalty minutes. The Beast has been shorthanded only 59 times, the lowest total in the ECHL, and has accumulated only 245 penalty minutes, the second-lowest total in the league.
